The challange of a lifetime: really successful art
I never knew how is it to design under stress before I was caught up in this stupid project nobody asked. And all my dreams of crafting some things (these are more something's) that looked great and were in the same theme were shattered when I opened the app for the first time in order to sketch the general idea. And boom! I was empty... Unexpected? No. But neither pleasant. So I had to cope with it, suck it up and come with something. Easy to say! I knew the successful pieces on design platforms are not always the best, as in "if you already have a ton and a half of followers you'll get some fair amount of appreciation even you are not performing". That wasn't my case, for sure. Also, if you are using some new trend in the virtual space, you have the chance to burst on any piece. So I began right there: I liked Material Design, Apple liked MD, designers all around like MD, so what is there to do? I had finally chosen my theme: I would be making a material design wallpaper collection.
How to make a spectacular wallpaper collection
I don't say I have the key of success in my hand, but at least I have a hint on how things should be done. The phrase that best describes it is: step by step. You make several stages of your collection, you use more color schemes for each one, you release them one stage at a time. Give the viewers a some time to breathe. At least that's what I did. We, the modern human beings are well known for our short focus span. Not even I scroll through every piece of a new designer I discover. Last two, then scroll some, then scroll some more. Actually, typically we get to really look at three or four pieces. So you don't release more than that on a stage.
And one more thing: it's all about presentation. So make sure that when showing off your work, it looks great, even better than it actually is. I used some mockups for my walls, because duh... wallpapers are for phones. I also used variation there: Samsung, Nexus 6P and others.
Pay zero bucks for LayerSpot - a delightful series
I'm happy to announce that you can download my collection just by clicking the big button below. It's free, and I'd wish to keep it that way. You could help me by checking my accounts and hitting like, share and follow. Just the usual "Please help me become famous!!!" polite scream.
A fantastic experience - hopefully I'll soon repeat it
I'm having a rough time deciding what will be next. One thing is for sure, this is an experience I'll repeat. So, stay tuned, bookmark my website and lemme post some more. See ya!
